Your England team in 4 years?

Postby Yorkyblue » Mon Jun 28, 2010 9:42 am

Just for the sake of it, lets have a look at the players coming through and pick your 11. Add subs as well if you like (not all strikers or all mids etc though) I know things change in 4 years but it's just something to do

----------------------Joe Hart--------------------------
Micah Richards, John Terry, Sam Hutchinson, Ashley Cole
Aaron Lennon, Jonjo Shelvey, Jack Wilshire, Adam Johnson
---------Wayne Rooney, Jordan Rhodes------------------

Ben Foster (keeper)
Mark Beevers (centre back)
Ryan Shawcross (centre back)
Jack Rodwell (CB/def mid)
Adam Lallana (mid/attack mid)
Junior Stanislas (winger)
John Bostock (attacking mid)
Theo Walcott (attacking mid/striker)
Victor Moses (striker)
Connor Wickham (striker)

Maybe forgot people but was just a quick think off the top of my head.

I wouldn't be sure of a Richards Terry Hutchinson (who's he?) and Cole defense.

Yeah like 33 year old Cannavaro who won it in 2006.

I'd go with this...

Hart
Johnson - Cahill - Terry - Gibbs
Rodwell - Huddlestone
Walcott - Wilshere - Johnson
Rooney

Maybe replace Terry with Mancienne, Wheater, Taylor or Onuoha.

It's hard to pick a team for 4 years from now though as players will come through and start doing good all of a sudden who we don't expect.

Yeah, that's why I left out a few known youngsters for more of the little unknown.

This, probably. I dno if Terry would still have what it takes though, and Huddlestone would need to f***ing improve a lot. Rodwell, Gibbs, Johnson are certanties in my eyes.

That's a good basis but I think Terry should be replaced too and Huddlestone I am always very unconvinced with, he's so slow

Yeah but Huddlestone is a good mover of the ball, I mean if we can get someone who can pass the ball better and stuff then yeah replace him as he can't run. Maybe Milner instead?

Huddlestone aint shit but a chubby w***er. He should never be anywhere near the england side. I was ready to quite life itself if he made the 23.
